Much earnest consideration is given by Christian Scientists to what is termed "work" in Christian Science. Devout students in every part of the world are endeavoring by means of spiritual right thinking to establish the kingdom of God on earth. Every activity of the Christian Science movement affords opportunity for the reception of Truth. The church services, the Wednesday evening testimony meetings, the Sunday school exercises, the lectures, the periodicals, the church business meetings—all are recognized as opportunities for the unfoldment of spiritual good, no less than the healing of individual cases of sickness and sin.
To-day the Christian Science movement is sowing broadcast the Word of God. Receptive hearts everywhere, hungering and thirsting after righteousness, are turning to it for help and healing; and through its ministrations they are gaining the true idea of God. Is not the protection of this vast unfoldment more important than is perhaps realized?
While the spiritual fact remains forever unchanged, that God's Word is eternally omnipresent, blessing, healing, uplifting, and saving mankind, it is important that the realization of this fact be made practical, even as the "Word was made flesh" in the life of Jesus. If this realization is to be fully manifest, it is necessary to destroy specifically the false beliefs which seem to be depriving humanity of Truth's blessing.
