The earthquake did not loose his chains for Paul,
Nor swing the gates that sealed his prison wall.
It was his understanding set him free:
He knew the meaning of true liberty.
The truth that Paul used is as true today
As when his bonds and prison bars gave way;
And when we rightly claim our sovereignty,
We, too, shall find, like Paul, that we are free.
