"THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS"

From the February 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Love's guidance is a precious heritage. It is ours eternally. When we remember this, we are spared many a stumble and saved from many a pitfall. All of us need Love's guidance. There are questions which have to do with health, supply, personal relationships, national policies, international disagreements, that challenge us persistently. We yearn to discover satisfying solutions.

Christian Science teaches us how to seek, to find, and to apply the right solutions. The burdens of personal responsibility are lightened as we come to understand how to seek the solutions, where to find them, and how to apply them. By following the path which Christian Science opens for us, our humility deepens, our courage grows, and our gratitude abounds. Guidance and obedience walk side by side.

Divine law supplies all the needs of man. When we obey this law we are always safe. In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, makes our duty plain. She writes (p. 142), "As in Jesus' time, so to-day, tyranny and pride need to be whipped out of the temple, and humility and divine Science to be welcomed in."
