There is a general medical opinion that time is often a necessary factor in the work of healing. Christian Science teaches that God, divine Love, not the passage of time, is the power that heals. The essential requirement is a correct understanding of God, a sure conviction that God's omnipotent power is always at hand.
There is no privilege greater than that of accepting the opportunity of turning to the divine Mind, God, for inspiration and guidance for our own healing or for that of others when we are asked to help them through Christian Science. But to heal quickly, it is necessary to do something immediately.
What is the something that must be done? It is the refusal to accept discord as real, the refusal to take in evil reports as true, the refusal to believe that there is a mind opposed to God which could produce or perpetuate evil.
