Love Is All-power

From the June 1966 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Not only the words of the Bible but also the deeds and demonstrations of the patriarchs and the prophets, of Jesus and his followers, show forth the wonderful nature of God. And now there is the glorious privilege of studying Mrs. Eddy's writings, which explain the nature of God. Her stand for Truth, her demonstrations, and her establishment of the Cause of Christian Science make clearer the nature of the power of the universe.

In her Message to The Mother Church for 1902, Mrs. Eddy asks, "What has shielded and prospered preeminently our great Cause, but the outstretched arm of infinite Love?" '02., p. 14; Only the power of Love could have enabled our Leader to establish Christian Science on a firm foundation; only the power of Love could have protected her.

Moses, who through the power of God accomplished so much, said about protection, "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms."Deut. 33:27; Even a slight grasp of the sense of Love's protecting power brought out in these words can do wonders for us, for Love is omnipotent.
