So many times I have been encouraged and inspired by a testimony in one of the Christian Science periodicals. My sincere desire in relating the following incidents is that this testimony will encourage others to find comfort and healing in God, the great Physician.
Over forty years ago, prior to my sincere study of Christian Science, my husband and I lost our first child at birth. Later, finding I was to have another baby, I turned wholeheartedly to God. Christian Science has guided our family every step of the way since that time. Our three children grew up depending on God to take care of all their needs.
One healing in is so precious to me because it helped me to realize that healing can come solely through our own efforts in practicing Christian Science. Our eldest son, who was two at the time, had been suffering from measles, which was prevalent in the neighbourhood. He was healed with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. But on the same day, our baby daughter began to show signs of this disease. My first thought was, "Oh dear, must we go through all that again!" Then I thought, "What kind of mother would think that way?"
