PUBLIC HEALING MINISTRY Getting started

Listen to God through humility

From the October 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

These comments on getting started in the public healing ministry are drawn from an interview with a Christian Science practitioner in Africa.

Christ Jesus was very humble and meek. Those two qualities are very, very important to me. Listening is also important, because Jesus was always praying, listening to God's command.

Paul, too. Paul, the intellectual. When his intellectualism yielded to spirituality, he was able to change, to be transformed completely. And this transformation always gives one the impetus to go forward, to take self out of the way. And, to me, this is most important in the healing work.
