LETTERS

From the June 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I really liked the cover of your April 2002 issue. I recently sent an e-mail to the new Mary Baker Eddy Library for the Betterment of Humanity [March]. I asked them if there are any films of Mary Baker Eddy or any recordings of her voice in existence. They said that there aren't. I'll bet that if Mrs. Eddy were alive today, she would be appearing on a lot of TV talk shows and people would record it on their VCRs. I think that she would have been filmed and recorded a lot, don't you?

I was disappointed to receive a letter ... instructing me to put a sticker on my copy of the March 2002 Journal. I understand that the trademark Cross and Crown had a printing flaw (though I didn't even notice it until the letter pointed it out). However, to waste time, effort, and money to send every Journal subscriber a sticker ... boggles my mind. The sticker does absolutely nothing to change the content of the magazine. If the publishers believe that it does, then they have clearly forgotten the true meaning of this important publication and wonderful religion.
