Responding to humanity's quest for spiritual answers

From the November 2003 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The 2003 Annual Meeting of The Mother Church & Conference was held in June in Berlin, Germany; Boston, Massachusetts; and on the Internet. Since then, participants and others have sent letters, e-mails, and faxes that tell of fresh inspiration and a recognition that spiritual ideas provide a meaningful response to challenges in their communities. Many are also relating steps they are taking to communicate with other spiritual seekers about the healing message of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures; the woman who wrote it, Mary Baker Eddy; and the Church she founded to make it available to people around the world. Here is a sampling of their insights and experiences.

After receiving the September issue of the Journal, I decided to make a monthly contribution to the "Feed the hungry, heal the heart" Fund. I am a Unitarian. The reasons I'm contributing are because there is a need for spirituality in the 21 st century and because Mary Baker Eddy is an impressive woman and there is much value to her writings. I subscribe to both the Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel. The Sentinel has a broad outlook. And I especially liked the January Journal article on Unitarianism. I have seen the new book Inspiration for Life's Relationships and it's simply marvelous! In fact, I just ordered a copy in French.
