THE Christian Science Monitor—its purpose and its future

THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR

From the November 2005 issue of The Christian Science Journal

ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MOTHER CHURCH 2005 offered a glimpse of some to the thought behind the activities at The Mother Church. One of the highlights was a "town-hall-style" meeting with the Editor of The Christian Science Monitor, Richard Bergenheim, and other members of the Monitor's staff.

Toward the end of the meeting, Mr. Bergenheim encouraged all those who love the Monitor to pray specifically to support its mission, and for its growth and progress.

Said Bergenheim, "I know that every one of you will join with us to continue acknowledging the life force that's behind this divine idea, The Christian Science Monitor, until it is readily apparent to all that it is vital, and it's living, and its purpose is being fulfilled."
