ANNOUNCING my Bible Lesson: A NEW 'FULL TEXT' EDITION TO ENGAGE YOUTH

From the July 2006 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"The Committee on Sunday School Lessons cannot give too much time and attention to their task, and should spare no research in the preparation of the Quarterly as an educational branch" (Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896, p. 114).

WE'RE VERY PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE a new Web-based publication, starting in September 2006, called my Bible Lesson, a "full text" edition of the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons specifically designed for teen and young adult readers. my Bible Lesson includes the Lesson text, Bible notes and biographical information, quotes from Bible translations, timelines, word definitions, and questions—all designed to facilitate students' deeper learning and exploration of the Lesson.

Mary Baker Eddy was a lifelong student of the Holy Bible. Her discovery of Christian Science was the result of a lifetime of pondering the Scriptures and searching their spiritual meaning. As teacher, pastor, lecturer, and healer, she drew inspiration from the Bible constantly. Her establishment of these Bible Lessons as "an educational branch" of her Church nurtures our study and understanding of the Scriptures with correlative passages from the textbook she authored, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
