LETTERS

From the December 2007 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I have always loved the Christian Science periodicals and still get excited when I see one in the mailbox. But today I want to tell you how much good I am getting from the "Conversations" with Christian Science practitioners and teachers that appear in each Journal.

Last Christmas I was feeling ill and not a little lonely. I knew I would be fine, but I still felt in need of some comfort. And then my eyes fell on a Journal on the top of my suitcase and I thought, "I know someone who will talk with me." I turned to the Conversation in that Journal (don't remember which one) and read it through as if I were the interviewer asking the questions. I then listened intently as if the practitioner was speaking directly to me. We had a wonderful talk, and I felt much improved afterward.

Many thanks to all who work on or contribute to the Journal, and especially to the "conversationalist" who unknowingly helped me out last Christmas night.
