HISTORY OF TEST RESULTS—REVERSED

From the July 2007 issue of The Christian Science Journal

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, as a grandmother, I applied to join the Peace Corps. They required that I have a thorough, detailed physical exam—a total of 25 pages of reports and test results. Since I was over 60, more reports were required.

Throughout my life, I've been in situations (as a student or as a teacher in schools, or when working with residents of nursing homes, etc.) that required my having a physical exam. I always obeyed the laws and complied with required exams, all the while holding on to the truth I've learned in Christian Science that I live under, and am protected by, God's law of good, of harmony, and well-being.

Since the age of eight, when a required routine tuberculosis test proved positive, and about ten times since, skin tests for tuberculosis had always shown a positive reaction. Each time I then had to have a chest X-ray, which always showed that there was no evidence of any active tuberculosis. Each time, I was given a certificate to confirm that I was not contagious. No treatment was ever recommended and no follow-up required.
