LETTERS

From the April 2010 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Thanks for printing the preview of the new series by the Christian Science Board of Directors and other workers ("Second-Century Christian Science: Depth, Dimension, Demonstration," January Journal, p. 30). We thought it was so thought-provoking and important to us and our Christian Science Society that we made the preview the focus of a special metaphysical meeting we held after church.

The meeting, attended by most members and a few regular attendees, was lively and the ideas shared were uplifting and helpful. We all agreed the discussion brought a deeper understanding of the magnitude and universality of Christian Science; our task in handling subtle resistance and in proving this system of healing through our lives and healing works; and a fuller appreciation of the continuing leadership of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, through all her writings, including her Church Manual.

Now, we all eagerly await this year's Journals to see what the writers say on these interesting and practical topics to aid us in our individual, and our Society's, progress.
