Testimonies of Healing

Unbroken unity with Christ

From the December 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It was a beautiful November morning in 2009 when my husband and I decided to climb Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. We took one of the most difficult trails, and it was more challenging than we’d anticipated.

When we started our descent, I lost my grip and fell down the rocks, breaking my arm. I was a little disoriented but rose to a sitting position. My husband and I immediately affirmed that God knew me to be unfallen, upright, and free.

It was hard to get up at first, but I managed. We knew we had to get off the mountain before dark and that we had almost the entire mountain to descend, which was mostly rock instead of trails—yet I could use only one arm.
