The Joyful Journey Spiritward

A conversation with Christian Science teacher Georgia Bulloch

From the June 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It wasn’t an easy leap. After four years as a professional accountant with Texas & Northern Railway Company, Georgia Bulloch made the decision to be a stay-at-home mom. “I loved being with my preschool daughter, but I felt like I had retired. I just didn’t feel I had a place.”

Aside from feeling tremendous withdrawal—the demands of work versus “the unstructured sort of home experience just bowled me over,” says the naturally upbeat Texan.

But by then, Georgia had Christian Science, which had unexpectedly
reentered her life two years earlier during a visit to, where else?—a local laundromat!
