During the past year, editorial and publishing personnel at The Christian Science Monitor have been seeking a deeper understanding of the unique purpose of the Monitor. We revisited Mary Baker Eddy’s vision and how that’s been carried out during more than a century of Monitor journalism. And we surveyed the ever-changing ways 21st-century readers are accessing and using news.
Conclusion: Our original and ongoing mission is to help Christian Scientists and as many others as possible think more clearly about the world, share the good news of the here-and-now kingdom of heaven, and work for the progress of mankind.
