Tooth healing has ripple effect

From the March 2014 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I awoke one morning a year and a half ago with pain in my tooth. Thoughts of needing a root canal came, and though I tried not to let them worry me, with every passing hour the tooth became more painful.

I called a friend who lived nearby and is a Christian Science practitioner. When I went to her home, she talked to me about scientific healing, giving me several quotes to work with from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and some articles from the Christian Science periodicals.

I had studied Christian Science for many years but had fallen away from any sort of metaphysical discipline. Fear crept in and seemed to be the basis of every issue I was dealing with. I was separated from my husband, my house had gone through foreclosure, and I needed to sell my beloved cabin in the Sierra Mountains, which had been in my family for 45 years. Subsequently, I’d moved to a new town and was living alone for the first time in over 20 years.
