I want to express my deep gratitude for a healing that took place many years ago. I was a relatively new student of Christian Science, having been raised in an orthodox religion, and I had not yet experienced a significant healing through the study and practice of Christian Science.
At that time, my wife and I were expecting our first child, and we saw this as an opportunity to deepen our understanding of man as spiritual, and therefore perfect, complete, and always under His loving care. We asked for the support of a Christian Science practitioner, who provided Christian Science treatment during this preparatory period. During the months prior to the birth, we prayed for this wonderful blessing and to better understand the nature of God and of man as made in His image and likeness, as the Scriptures tell us (see Genesis 1:26, 27).
My wife and I also met regularly with a physician, who agreed to perform the delivery, and we were very pleased with his kind and supportive care.
