I am cheering Hilary Waller’s message regarding the value of the Christian Science periodicals in her article titled “The Christian Science periodicals: Fuel for spiritual growth” in the April 2015 Journal! I have long felt that every writer is my “friend in the night.”
The April issue is especially full of loving encouragement. After the passing of a dear friend, who so needed what I had to give, I felt depleted of joy and value. Each article in that issue lifted my thought and my heart. I was feeling again “positioned to glorify God” as Janet Clements wrote. Like Mary listening to Jesus, as Sue Spotts wrote, I was ready to hear of all the good in store for me.
Then the poem “Joy constitutes man” by Wendy Mulhern had me singing again.
