I had a mother who never gave up on me, even when many others had. There were many times when she was all I had.
There was a time when I was spending six months in jail. My mother tried everything possible to get Christian Science literature to me, but jail policies got in the way. Then one day I received a letter from Mom. I don’t remember the subject of the Bible Lesson that week, but in the letter there was the Golden Text, the Responsive Reading, and the first section of the Lesson, handwritten by my mom.
