Letters

From the February 2017 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Bible says, “Whatsoever things are of good report … think on these things” (Philippians 4:8). We are seeking more submissions for the Journal’s “Of Good Report” column. In this column, readers share good news of how spiritual understanding and prayer have brought progress on a variety of subjects. The examples shared include, but are not limited to, healing progress in churches, how Christian Science has made an impact on readers’ families over the years and brought healing, and stories of sharing Christian Science with others. Please see http://jsh.christianscience.com/submit for submission information and write “Of Good Report” in “Author comments” on the submission form.

[“The privilege of subscribing to The Christian Science Monitor,” Christa Case Bryant, November 2016, Journal]

What an outstanding article about the value and importance of the Monitor. The point the writer covered about its place as one of our periodicals that we are privileged to subscribe to, as the Manual By-Law states, was most interesting—that it lifts a burden, the burden that we have more than we can contend with in the world scene, so it’s pointless or depressing to try to deal with it.
