Reaching the seekers through prayer today

From the June 2017 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It was natural for Christ Jesus to reach out to others in his daily walk. In so many examples in the Bible, we see his love for God and for humanity, and his willingness to express this love even in a challenging environment where religious laws were rigidly enforced.

A New Testament verse is a reminder of the importance of selfless love. It reads, “If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well” (James 2:8). Jesus clearly fulfilled this law; his unselfish work was for the ages, and as Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, wrote, “The purpose of his life-work touches universal humanity” (Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, p. 29).

I began specifically praying about how best to reach those seeking truth.
