Testimonies of Healing
Several years ago, my husband and I decided to sell our house in California and move to the East Coast. Our main motive was to offer spiritual and moral support to family members there.
During the last forty-five years I have experienced literally hundreds of healings through prayer in Christian Science. These include cuts, bruises, burns, defective eyesight, broken bones, and injuries from two major accidents, one with a tractor and the other a chainsaw.
During my senior year in high school, I began to experience alarming physical symptoms. My vision was doubled.
I had always heard that taking Primary class instruction in Christian Science is a beneficial experience. But my growing interest was thwarted by the fact that here in the eastern part of Germany Christian Science had been prohibited for decades.
When our daughter was about sixteen months old, she woke from an afternoon nap feverish and not feeling well. I comforted her and began praying to understand her spiritual perfection as God's child.
As a lifelong Christian Scientist, I can truly say that the healing power of the Christ has blessed me beyond measure. In raising five children, we had healings of chickenpox, measles, malaria, and a frightening fever, as well as of injuries from a car accident.

For about two years I was very conscious (and felt everyone else was, too) of a blemish on my face. Adults were tactful and seldom asked about it.
