ARCTURUS with his sons may pass,
And all the wondrous starry host
May fade and wither as the grass,
Or vanish as a startled ghost;
But not one word of Truth shall fail
Its end appointed to attain,
Though all the hosts of hell assail,
And every human stay prove vain
Earth's greatest glories shall decay,
All props of princely power fall:
Their fleets and armies fade away,
Their pomps, parades, and pleasures pall;
But Truth's concordant tones shall swell
Till discord's jarring screams are stilled,
Forever shattered error's spell,
And Truth's supremacy fulfilled.
