To our readers . . .

From the Publishing Director's Office

From the April 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In recent years, interest in Christian Science has been growing steadily in Russian-speaking areas of the world, including Western countries with large Russian communities. To meet this growing interest, The Christian Science Publishing Society has been broadcasting, via shortwave radio, a Russian-language edition of The Herald of Christian Science.

Now, a special Russian-language print edition of the Herald has been published. It promises to be a wonderful vehicle for introducing Christian Science to any interested Russian speaker because it focuses on the pastor, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and contains testimonies of healing from the Russian-speaking Field.

Most large cities around the world, as well as many smaller towns, have growing Russian communities. Many have a Russian cultural center or a Russian food market. Perhaps there is a university nearby with a Russian language department. In any of these places, there are people searching for something more than the material world has to offer. The truth shared in this new Herald may be exactly what they are looking for.
