Enough is enough

From the November 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"I don't have enough ..." Complaints that begin like this are not uncommon. "I don't have enough understanding of God to demonstrate His care and power." "I don't have enough spirituality to be healed." "I don't have enough funds to start my own business as I feel it's right to do." "I don't have enough time to meet all the demands made on me." What a sad litany of "not enoughs"!

But we really do have enough—it's just that we're not recognizing that we have it.

There are many practical, metaphysical slants on present sufficiency. For instance, a crumb of good is indicative of all good—it points to the presence of God, of limitless good itself. And a brief statement of truth in Christian Science can be enough to open us to spiritual inspiration and to forward healing. Why? Because one statement of truth is a part of all truth. It expresses the potency of divine Truth, its source.
