Spiritual healing: a conversation with William H. Hill

From the March 2004 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christian Science healer and teacher of sold his successful furniture and design business in Vancouver, British Columbia, because he felt something was missing. He wanted to get to know God better. And for more than 30 years he has dedicated his life to the welfare of others in one capacity or another, including healing people through the power of prayer.

He advertised his professional healing practice in the Journal in 1975 and became a teacher of Christian Science in 1982. After lecturing on spiritual healing from 1988 to 1994, he served for nearly four years as a member of The Christian Science Board of Directors. He recently accepted the post of Christian Science Committee on Publication for Texas.

Hill has precious little downtime in days that often run from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and that sometimes include taking calls for help from people during the other seven hours. But when he does have free time, he likes to catch a movie with his wife, Honor (who is also a Christian Science practitioner), garden, or walk Jeb, their Jack Russell Terrier. As a community project, he also serves as a director of Thanks-Giving Square Foundation—The Center for World Thanksgiving.
