Go One-on-one with the Gospel

From the January 2010 issue of The Christian Science Journal

What will it take to open up the public's thought to Jesus' healing and reformative message? What will it take to grow a church dedicated to showing the present-day power behind the meaning of Jesus' resurrection?

These were the all-consuming questions facing the early followers of Jesus. And, of course, they are still the burning questions for modern day apostles.

In a nutshell, that's what the Bible's book of Acts is all about. It chronicles the steps taken by the earliest followers of Jesus to share with their suffering countrymen the good news (or "gospel") that came to them through witnessing the healing works of the Master and healing others themselves.
