THEIR SOUL SHALL BE AS A GARDEN

From the June 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all."—Jeremiah 31:12.

Their soul shall be as a garden—
O promise rare and true,
To the weary and heavy-laden,
For all shall be made new.

All error shall then wither
Like weeds, frosted and sere—
Avarice and hatred,
All sin and grief and fear:

For in that fairest garden
Only good fruit shall grow.
The hand of Love shall tend it—
Abundant care bestow.

Their soul shall be as a garden,
Where plenteous rain shall fall,
And they shall never sorrow—
Not any more at all.
