Poems

Easter

From the April 1953 issue of The Christian Science Journal

From out the realm of Love a song is born
Within all hearts receptive to the sound.
Today—as on that distant Easter morn
When white-winged angel thoughts were newly found;
When stones of hate and fear were angel-moved
And man as God's reflection stood in light;
When Life beyond the mortal grave was proved;
When Christ was seen with more than mortal sight—
Today the song of jubilance and prayer
Re-echoes Love's triumphant harmony
To demonstrate that Love is everywhere
And can be seen by those with eyes to see,
And heard, through Mind, in constant resurrection,
By those partaking of the Christ's perfection.
