No dragons left

From the March 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Once upon a time
when imagination's dragons roamed,
crusaders shivered
in their fight with evil.
But "once upon a time"
is not Spirit's eternal frame,
where evil becomes a name
for nothing.

And so, with no dragons left,
we seldom hunt them anymore.
But if, today,
some new-named dragon
should glare at you,
please step aside, let a spiritually invincible knight—
your Christly understanding—
show scientifically that
the creature is obsolete.
Then Truth can triumph,
guaranteeing dragon-defeat!
