MBE Mentioned Chaucer, Homer, and Virgil: Episode-7

- MBE Mentioned Them

Mary Baker Eddy mentions three poets, Chaucer, Homer, and Virgil, on page 82 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In this Journal podcast Dr. Heidi Snow, an associate professor of English Literature at Principia College, provides a brief biography of these famous poets and offers insight as to why Mrs. Eddy may have used them as examples to illustrate that “It is no more difficult to read the absent mind than it is to read the present.” (Science and Health 82:3)
