It is with a joyful heart and a sense of deep gratitude that I wish to testify to the good which has come to me through Christian Science. I had been suffering for two years with a stomach affection, in addition to heart trouble and a nervous condition, and had been under the care of various physicians; but instead of being relieved, I seemed to grow worse every day. At that time I was told of Christian Science by acquaintances of mine. They gave me a few copies of the Herold to read, so that I soon felt sufficient confidence in these teachings to apply for help to a practitioner in Basel, and through the understanding of God in Christian Science I was freed of my trouble within a few weeks, four treatments being given.
Grateful though I am for the healing of these physical difficulties, I am still more thankful to God, and also to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the spiritual illumination, the freedom and buoyancy which have come to me as a result of attending the services and reading the Christian Science literature.— Blansingen (Baden), Germany.
