I would like to prove my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me by giving the following experience. When about to make my bed one morning, I struck my kneecap on a metal projection. For a moment I seemed stunned; then I recall trying to declare the truth, yet without realizing what I was saying. I felt as if the top of my head was coming off, and there was severe pain in the knee.
Thinking myself about to lose consciousness, I called to my husband, and as he came I asked him to declare the truth for me. He assisted me to bed, and then telephoned to a practitioner for help. While he was at the telephone, the thought came to me that now was the time to prove what I knew about the truth. There also came clearly the Scriptural thought, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world," and a wonderful realization of the ever presence of Love. When my husband came back into the room my condition was perfectly normal. After about half an hour, during which time I read Science and Health, I was again at my work. I am sincerely grateful for this proof of God's power.
I have been a student of Christian Science for many years, and have had numerous proofs of God's loving care. My gratitude for this religion always includes a loving thankfulness to its Discoverer, Mrs. Eddy, whose clearness of spiritual vision has made the truth available. — Alta Loma, Cal.
