When I first heard of Christian Science and had attended a testimony meeting, I felt it was a practical religion and just what I needed. With the study of this Science came a gradual change in my thinking, from a material to a spiritual basis. I am glad to say I am now free from a great many ills, such as rheumatism, indigestion, severe headaches, nervousness, and stammering. I was quite unconscious of any change in my speech till friends who had not seen me for some time noticed I was speaking quite normally.
Christian Science is a demonstrable religion, and is here to bless and heal everyone who studies its teachings sincerely. It is about twenty years since I heard of Christian Science and since then I have never found it necessary to resort to either drugs or doctors, although I had previously been in bondage to both.
I am grateful to know that God does govern lovingly all that is, no matter how things may seem to false material sense. "There is no power apart from God. Omnipotence has all-power, and to acknowledge any other power is to dishonor God," as Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 228). God's gift to all is life and health.
