Testimonies of Healing

From the November 1938 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Gladly I give testimony to the beneficent influence of the instruction given in the Christian Science Sunday School which helped my daughter in a time of great need.

She met with an accident which caused severe injuries to her mouth. The upper jaw was broken in two places; two front teeth were loosened from the roots and pushed up so far that to all appearances they seemed to be out. The two adjoining teeth were also loose. The doctor who came on the case was unable to do anything and referred me to a dentist. The latter put the teeth back in their places, but had not the slightest hope for a healing. My daughter, however, who had attended the Sunday school for about a year, had genuine faith. She held fast to the knowledge that God's love is omnipresent and that such an inharmonious condition had no right to exist. Without further medical treatment, the lips, jaw, and teeth were healed within a short time.

Six months later I met the dentist, who expressed his surprise at not having seen my daughter again, and asked how she was. He could hardly believe my assertion that the mouth had healed. He spoke of it as a medical miracle and said he would very much like to see her. The next day my daughter went to see him, and he stated that not only had the jaw and teeth been healed, but that the nerves of the teeth which he had put back into place, and which supposedly would have been torn, were in normal condition.
