Christian Science has been in our home since my childhood. I remember the little book brought to us by a kind neighbor, and one day when I returned from school with all the symptoms of scarlet fever, my mother read to me from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I was completely healed when I awoke the following morning.
Since that time I have experienced innumerable physical healings—of chronic constipation, a throat ailment, neuralgia, inflamed glands, neuritis from an injured spine, large cysts, painful arches, and a scalded hand. Faulty vision was corrected simply by the reading of the textbook; athlete's foot and a skin infection were healed more slowly. Painless childbirth was experienced, and the joy of rearing a daughter in Christian Science continues to be one of my richest blessings.
During my recent service as a Wac I was benefited many times by Science, and the Wartime Minister was ever kindly and alert. During this time I had an instantaneous healing of sinus infection or hay fever. This healing took place a few moments after a telephone conversation with the Wartime Minister. Through Christian Science the problem of adjustment to civilian life was recently solved, and I was guided into channels of progress and bountiful supply. Living quarters in a congested city were quickly supplied at the moment of need. Chronic headache and symptoms of poor circulation have also been overcome.
