Mrs. Eddy writes on page 494 of Science and Health, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." Divine Love always has met my every need when I have wholeheartedly turned to it for help.
I have been very grateful for the first healing I had in Christian Science. From childhood I had periodic attacks of quinsy sore throat. Every time I had an attack, my family would think I could not survive. I underwent two operations and tried osteopathy, but these methods brought only temporary relief. During the last attack I was under Christian Science treatment. By being faithful in reading the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and in attending the church services, I was completely healed. That was over thirteen years ago, and I have never had a recurrence of the difficulty.
Mrs. Eddy writes in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 277), "No evidence before the material senses can close my eyes to the scientific proof that God, good, is supreme." And in Exodus 23:20 we read, "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." Through the realization of the truth in these statements and through the help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was able to find a place in the business world, which has proved to be very harmonious. During the period of unemployment I was free from worry and anxiety, knowing that God would not forsake or fail me.
