At one time I was suffering from rheumatism and could not move either of my arms. Fifteen years previously a doctor had said to me: "You have inherited this rheumatism from your father; it is in your blood and system. No doctor and no medicine can cure it." Although I knew little of Christian Science, I recalled what a friend with whom I had twice attended a Church of Christ, Scientist, had said to me concerning the spiritual man of God's creation, and immediately I saw that Spirit has dominion over the flesh. I was free from the suffering, and it has never returned.
Our child, when seven years of age, and I were healed of constipation after attending a Christian Science church service. For thirty-seven years I have never touched a drop of medicine.
Shortly before I knew anything of this beautiful teaching, our little girl had an operation for granulated eyelids. The doctor told us that she was very susceptible to this disease and that her eyes should be examined and operations performed periodically; otherwise she would become blind. Thoughts of fear brought on by this prediction were destroyed as I clung to the truths I learned in Christian Science. The child was not troubled again.
