NEW TELEVISION PROGRAMS

From the October 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Starting the week end of September 11, 1955, Christian Science television programs will be broadcast in a number of areas in the United States. The programs are on film and will be telecast by individual stations rather than by network. The series is entitled "How Christian Science Heals" and is sponsored by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Broadcasts during the fall months will include some of the large metropolitan centers, and now and later the programs will be seen in some other localities as well. Because of station policies and commitments, it will not be possible to reach all communities at first, but the effort has been made to cover from the outset as large a nationwide audience as possible; and it is expected that the coverage will be extended during the fall and winter months.

An announcement listing the stations carrying the programs and the hours appeared in The Christian Science Monitor of Wednesday, August 31, and further listings will be published from time to time as needed.
