"I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known" (Isa. 42:16). I am grateful for the fulfillment of this beautiful promise in my experience. During a period of severe nervousness I was led to Christian Science.
One morning, after a sleepless night, I called a Christian Science practitioner, who assured me of God's willingness to heal me. She then began treating me. In a short while the extreme nervousness disappeared. The complete healing did not come for some time, because much error had to be eradicated; but every day brought a greater sense of peace until I was entirely free. Since that time my family and I have experienced many healings.
A healing of ivy poisoning occurred shortly after I began the study of Christian Science. My daughter, who was about three years old at the time, became very ill with this poisoning. Not yet having full faith in Christian Science, I turned to materia medica for her healing. However, instead of improving, she grew worse. I then discontinued the medicine and called a practitioner for help in Christian Science. My daughter began to improve at once and in a few days was completely free.
