It is with a sincere desire to acknowledge the power of our Father-Mother God that I bear witness not only to some of the healings but to the regeneration which Christian Science has brought to me. I have tested its healing efficacy in many types of human experience, and a complete healing or a reformation of thought has always resulted from my seeking a better understanding of God and man's relationship to Him.
My father was restored to health after physicians gave him only a short time to live. This healing caused my family to study Science, and I was enrolled in the Sunday School. I shall always be grateful for the consecrated Sunday School teachers, who, along with my mother, taught me the Scriptures and helped me to gain a demonstrable understanding of Science.
When I was young I was saved from drowning in rough water by knowing even though it seemed impossible for me to swim another stroke that actually God is man's strength. I kept thinking, "God is with me," and kept reassuring myself with the knowledge of God's omnipresence.
