No Battle Takes Place

From the February 1964 issue of The Christian Science Journal

ELISHA saw an unseen host—
"They that be with us are more
Than they that be with them"—no boast,
But trust, the armor that he wore.
No battle took place.

Unseeing what the others saw,
The hostile crowd that met the eye,
Jesus beheld the strength of law
And going through the midst passed by.
No battle took place.

Today if we align our plan
With all who turn from sense to Soul—
The unity of God and man—
We too remain unscathed and whole.
No battle takes place.
