"And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God" (Luke 17:15). I have often thought that when Jesus said of the lepers, "Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?" (v. 17), this could well be applied to me. So now I wish to submit a testimony to glorify God, with the hope that others will do so too.
For years Christian Science alone has been my physician. One outstanding healing, that of a fever, occurred when I was sixteen years old. My appearance was alarming, and several relatives came from a distance to visit, believing it was the last time they would see me. I was unable to eat, walk, or talk, and was losing my hair. The devoted love of my parents, who placed full reliance on Christian Science, and treatment by a Christian Science practitioner brought a complete healing. During this time I experienced neither fear nor suffering—only a wonderful awakening to the great beauty and loving care of the Father-Mother God.
With our own children, many problems commonly associated with childhood were healed, including those of mumps, chicken pox, and measles. In instances where the disease was reportable, usually before the health authorities could get to the house, the physical symptoms had disappeared.
