GETTING STARTED in the public practice of Christian Science

Nothing could prevent God's work

The divine inspiration that blesses family also supports the public healing ministry, and vice versa.

From the October 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In my late teens I left my childhood home and the teachings of Christian Science to search the world to find a religion, philosophy, or teaching that I would love enough to base my life upon. But after a number of years, I felt a void in my life. I again picked up Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and started to read it. This brought a wonderful transformation of thought, and I realized this is what I had been hungering for.

I handed my future
completely over
to God.

I contacted a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, and as we worked and prayed together I found great inspiration, which led to a deep desire to practice Christian Science publicly. I then took Primary class instruction and joined the local branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
