God's instrument – perfectly in tune

From The Christian Science Journal - July 11, 2011

It was Monday morning and I was looking forward to starting a new week. But I woke up with a terrible headache. I instantly began to pray because it’s normal for me to take a few moments for prayer first thing in the morning, every day of the week. I prayed to know that I was a child of God, that I could never be separated from His love.

Then I proceeded with my day, but the headache was aggressive and it grew more painful. So I decided to devote some time to playing the piano. I am an avid pianist, and I thought some music might uplift my thought spiritually and bring me peace.

As I began to play, I thought about the spiritual aspects of music. I asked myself, What makes up a perfect song? What are the spiritual qualities that are expressed in great music?
