M., N. H., Dec. 1884.
I have recently learned of your system of medical practice, and am very much interested in it.
For many years I have believed that there is a law by which sick people may be made well again without the use or influence of drug-medication. In my practice I have frequently had patients recover on "Blanks" (Sac Lac) faithfully given as I directed. In such cases I usually insist that the medicine shall be given at some precise time of the day, say at two o'clock exactly. I am very particular also to specify the exact number of pellets to be given, and to have that number given, and no other. The next day when I call, the nurse will usually greet me with, "Doctor, do you remember what it was you left for your patient at 2 o'clock, yesterday? It was not ten minutes after I gave her those seven little pills as you directed, when she felt as well as ever she did."
