PRAISE

From the April 1913 issue of The Christian Science Journal

For gladdened heart, now filled with love to overflowing;
For thought inspired, in grateful deeds outgoing;
For bounteous harvests, beyond our feeble sowing,—
Give praise.

For life that as the eagle its strength reneweth;
For peace that by still waters its way pursueth;
For brotherly love that the will of the Father doeth,—
Give praise.

For strength that sustains when clouds of sense surround us;
For Truth that e'en in darkness sought and found us;
For Love, whose tender arms are ever round us,—
Give praise.

Give praise for the light that leads the way before us;
Give praise for the good, forever hovering o'er us;
Give praise, till earth unites in the glad chorus,—
Give praise!
