TREATMENT

From the September 1932 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Someone has prayed for me today—how fair the day!
The sun's warm tender rays make glad my way;
And like still waters that in stillness bless,
A holy calm possesses consciousness.
Now Spirit's graces are more humbly sought:
A great desire to love inspires my thought.
To love! To know the God of love—all good;
And to be good, that He be understood!
A sweet assurance comes that all is well,
And newborn hope and joy life's sweet strains swell.
Someone has prayed for me today, and now I seem
To glimpse God's heaven amid this earthly dream.

And in this reaching out of pure desire
Forgotten were my ills, as thought rose higher;
Before the all of Spirit as I kneeled,
The flesh forgetting, lo! the flesh was healed!
Someone has prayed for me today; Lord, my request,
May I bless others by my prayers, as I am blest.
